The buzz around Augusta National and on couches nationwide was palpable as everyone waited patiently for 2:30 p.m. ET when Rory McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau stepped on the first tee to begin the main event.

DeChambeau finished fifth at 7-under par, having entered the final round at 10-under and trailing his partner, McIlroy, by two strokes. According to the American golfer, their interactions were all business with the $4.2 million first-place prize on the line.
