The Carbondale & Rural Fire Protection District called for an evacuation of the Panorama subdivision and areas east of County Road 100 to Upper Cattle Creek Road.

The wildfire was mapped at 107 acres. It burned north of Panorama Drive, and below the Ranch at Coulter Creek Subdivision. When crews arrived at 11:04 a.m. on Sunday, they found an active fire burning in grass, pinyon, juniper and sage moving at a fast rate of speed.

"Structures are threatened, though no homes have been lost at this time. The fire is 0% contained, but the rate of spread has slowed due to coordinated efforts by ground crews and aerial resources," a Carbondale Fire news release says.
