Diogo Jota's widow Rute Cardoso was in attendance at the Molineux Stadium as Wolverhampton Wanderers paid tribute to her husband and former player.

A mural to remember footballer Diogo Jota is being completed near Wolves' stadium. The former Wolves and Liverpool player died in a car crash in northern Spain on 3 July alongside his brother, Andre Silva, and huge portraits of Jota have been painted on a wall facing The Leaping Wolf pub on Waterloo Road.

Also present for the match were the parents of Jota and Andre Silva, who tragically died alongside his brother in a car accident in Spain. Like Jota's wife, Isabel and Joaquim Silva were visibly moved to tears.

Neves now playing for Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia was visibly touched by the special tribute from Wolves fans to his former teammate & close friend Diogo Jota who tragically died in car accident last month.

Wolves will pay tribute to Diogo Jota and brother Andre Silva before Saturday's pre-season friendly against Celta Vigo at Molineux. A minute's silence will be observed before kick-off and floral wreaths laid by senior members of the club.
