A judge on Friday denied an eleventh-hour request to block the removal of eight migrants detained in Djibouti, paving the way for their removal to South Sudan.

The Supreme Court cleared the way for the Trump administration to deport a group of migrants with criminal records held at a U.S. base in Djibouti; the administration says they'll be sent to South Sudan.

After the Supreme Court ruled that the deportations could move forward, a last-ditch attempt to block them with a new lawsuit faltered.
