Denny’s and Waffle House have removed surcharges that the two restaurant chains added to their menus when U.S. egg prices spiked earlier in the year. Denny’s confirmed Thursday that it eliminated its egg surcharge on May 21.

"Thank you President Trump!" President Trump wrote on social media in response to Waffle House dropping its 50-cent egg surcharge.

Denny’s and Waffle House have both removed the surcharges the chains put in place earlier this year to offset the soaring cost of eggs amid a nationwide shortage.
