Gillian Anderson, Lena Headey and The Abandons
Digest more
The Abandons premiered this week on Netflix with all seven episodes, and the show had a very fascinating ending to the tale of rivalry between Lena Headey’s Fiona Nolan and Gillian Anderson’s Constance Van Ness.
There are plenty of juicy conflicts in The Abandons, but none bigger than a land war between two matriarchs: Fiona Nolan ( Lena Headey ), who owns the farming land of Jasper Hollow, which lies on the outskirts of the frontier town Angel’s Ridge, run by the very rich, exceptionally powerful Constance Van Ness ( Gillian Anderson ).
It all culminates in an epic fight between Constance (Anderson) and Fiona (Headey) in the finale’s last scenes, and it ends on a major cliffhanger that leaves the fate of both women up in the air. Will there be a Season 2? Here’s what the stars say.

No, there isn't an episode 8 of The Abandons — even after that shocking cliffhanger
The Abandons on Netflix ends with a major cliffhanger in episode 7, but there's no episode 8 coming to answer whether Constance or Fiona lived.
Lena stars as Fiona Nolan, who, unable to have children of her own, adopts four orphans to make her own family. However, Fiona and her children are up against it when a group of European aristocrats lead by Gillian Anderson's character Constance Van Ness claim her land as their own.
Netflix's attempts to bring the Wild West to the frontiers with The Abandons have had a disappointing debut with an extremely low Rotten Tomatoes score.
