Indiana basketball's season has been defined by a series of close losses, the Hoosiers added another one to the list on Friday night:

BLOOMINGTON — Indiana basketball made UCLA earn it. The Hoosiers fought back from a 10-point deficit in the final minutes of Friday's game against the Bruins at Assembly Hall, but couldn't come up with a clutch basket in the final seconds of a 72-68 loss.

As a team though, Indiana could not cash in. The Hoosiers missed their first seven 3-point attempts before Trey Galloway rattled one in with 4:22 left in the opening half.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana coach Mike Woodson had his postgame press conference on Friday at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall after the Hoosiers lost 72-68 to UCLA in a Big Ten Conference men's basketball game.

Woodson, who is stepping down at the end of the season, only has his job for five more guaranteed games. Indiana is still fighting for its right to play in the Big Ten Tournament, and any hopes of sparking a push to March Madness dwindle after each soul-snatching defeat.
