John Mateer's status has been the talk ahead of the "Red River Rivalry" featuring No. 6 Oklahoma and Texas. Mateer suffered a hand injury in the 24-17 win over Auburn that required surgery. He has been recovering since Sept. 25, and it was predicted that he would miss around a month because of it.
