The 26-year-old Warren was picked up by the Steelers after not getting selected in the 2022 NFL Draft. Warren made the team's initial 53-man roster following an impressive training camp and appeared in 16 games during his rookie season, averaging a team-high 4.9 yards-per-carry.

The two running backs on the Chargers’ current roster are former Troy standout Kimani Vidal, who had 155 yards on 43 rushing attempts and five receptions for 62 yards and one touchdown as a sixth-round rookie, and Hassan Haskins, who ran for 89 yards and two touchdowns on 34 carries and caught three passes for 49 yards and one touchdown.

The Steelers have not shut the door on Harris returning at a reduced price, but it is hard to see the running back landing that type of deal from Pittsburgh in such a deep draft class. On top of that, the team has Jaylen Warren, who is someone they trust and will lean on next year.
