After a few uneven performances at training camp, Jets general manager Darren Mougey is now considering going in a different direction. The Jets hosted free-agent kicker Nick Folk on a visit, according to a report by The NY Post's Brian Costello. It would mark a reunion. Folk kicked for the Jets from 2010-16.

The New York Jets signed one of the oldest active players in the NFL, as the team announced Tuesday it agreed to terms with 40-year-old kicker Nick Folk. This news came just hours after the Jets waived kicker Caden Davis.

The man nicknamed "Folk Hero" by then-first-year head coach Rex Ryan for his clutch kicking in 2010 was buffeted by the NFL winds to Tampa Bay, then to New England and Tennessee. And the gusts have brought him back to the Jets, where he has signed to kick for another first-year HC in Aaron Glenn.
