Some areas of the Garden State are under winter storm warnings, and others are under winter weather advisories with varying amounts of snow expected late Tuesday and early Wednesday.

An updated winter storm warning was issued by the NWS Blacksburg VA on Monday at 9:43 p.m. valid from Tuesday 4 a.m. until Wednesday 4 p.m. for Ashe and Alleghany counties.

Multiple winter weather-related alerts are in place across parts of New York, as well as further south in the Mid-Atlantic region.

The weather service has issued a winter storm warning for Kansas City and portions of Kansas and Missouri that will be in effect from midnight Tuesday to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
