Off-duty NYPD officer under investigation for fatal Rockland County crash
ORANGEBURG, N.Y. - An NYPD officer is under investigation after they were allegedly involved in a crash that killed a man in Rockland County over the weekend. New York Attorney General Letitia James announced the investigation into the off-duty officer on Wednesday.
A former New York City police officer will spend a decade behind bars for a road rage shooting that left a New Jersey man paralyzed. Hieu Tran, 27, pleaded guilty on Nov. 6, 2025, to attempted murder.
His Manhattan court sentence came months after the NYPD fired him following his guilty plea at departmental trial for stealing overtime and other hours.
