China is concerned about recent clashes between Pakistan and Afghanistan and has asked the two countries to protect its nationals and investments in the region, Beijing's foreign ministry said on Monday.

Tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan surged over the weekend with the Taliban government claiming to have killed 58 Pakistani soldiers in fierce clashes at the shared border. On the other hand, Islamabad has reportedly killed 200 Taliban terrorists.

Afghanistan and Pakistan traded heavy fire along their shared border after Taliban forces responded to Pakistani airstrikes in Kabul amid escalating tensions.

Amid rising tensions, Afghanistan and Pakistan face border clashes. Trump offers to address the conflict while recalling past peace achievements.

“This will be my eighth war that I have solved, and I hear there is a war now going on between Pakistan and Afghanistan. I said, I’ll have to wait till I get back. I am doing another one. Because I am good at solving wars,” Trump said.
