Fox News meteorologist Haley Meier reports from North Plainfield, NJ where a residential home exploded during Tuesday night’s severe flooding on ‘America Reports’.

The home on Parkview Avenue in North Plainfield exploded and collapsed just before 11:25 p.m. on Monday as heavy downpours wreaked havoc on the tri-state area.

The strike occurred at 7:07 p.m. during a stormy night and shortly before a severe thunderstorm warning was issued for the area.

The two women were in their car on the road when it was swept into the Cedar Brook during the height of the storm.

Flash flooding swept through New York City and parts of New Jersey on Monday night, and CBS News New York has team coverage of the damage.
