A day after the Minnesota Wild won the Quinn Hughes sweepstakes, TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun can confirm a number of other teams attempted to acquire the superstar defenceman from the Vancouver Canucks.
In his X post, LeBrun reported that Vancouver received firm offers from six teams. He confirmed New Jersey was among the most serious suitors. Detroit and the New York Rangers also made strong pushes. Carolina and Buffalo showed interest to a lesser degree. The volume of offers explains the size of Minnesota’s winning bid.
