The Brown University community was devastated after a deadly shooting at an engineering building left two people dead and eight others wounded.

Two men were fatally shot and two others were injured in a shooting Wednesday at a New Jersey recording studio used to make music videos, according to officials. The deceased victims were identified by investigators as Namir Bynum, 20, and Osayuwamen Uyamu, 20.

PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island — Police responded to an active shooting Saturday on campus at Brown University in Providence, according to the school’s alert system. Officials initially said a suspect was in custody, before saying that was not in fact the case and police were still searching for a suspect or suspects.
