No references were made in a detailed review of the response to Storm Éowyn of any contact between the Irish and UK weather services, except around the naming of one of the worst storms to hit the island.

According to Met Office weather maps, scattered spells of snowfall are now expected across northern parts of Scotland from around 10 pm on Friday night, with these continuing into the early hours of Saturday morning.
