Police responded to a second false report of an active shooter at Pennsylvania's Villanova University on Sunday, a day for the start of the school's 2025-26 academic year.

A second false active shooter incident was reported at Villanova University before the first day of classes, sources say.

The University of South Carolina issued an alert Sunday about a possible shooter near the campus library, later saying no evidence of a threat was found though police continue to search.
