Berkshire Isn’t in Market for Railroad Purchase, Buffett Says
Warren Buffett ’s Berkshire Hathaway Inc. isn’t in the market for a deal to buy a competing railroad. Buffett told CNBC on Monday that he met with the CSX Corp. chief executive officer earlier this month to discuss cooperation, while indicating he wouldn’t make a bid for CSX. A Berkshire spokesperson confirmed the comments.
