TUKWILA — People at Westfield Southcenter mall in Tukwila evacuated the shopping center around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, following reports of a fight involving multiple people in the food court. More than a dozen police cars, fire trucks from Puget Sound Fire and an ambulance responded to the incident.

Initial reports said that a shooting had occurred that put the mall on lockdown but police could not verify these claims. People took to social media and talked about being locked inside stores. Active Shooting at Southcenter Mall!

Police said a group of juveniles were fighting in the food court, and that there is no evidence of a shooting.
