Madison Keys has withdrawn from the WTA Finals due to illness after being eliminated from the tournament before her final round-robin match against Elena Rybakina. Rybakina, who is already through to the semi-finals as the group winner, will instead play second alternate Ekaterina Alexandrova in the dead-rubber.

“Rybakina is playing Ekaterina Alexandrova. Madison Keys unfortunately too ill so isn’t able to take to the court. Alexandrova is the second alternate because the first alternate, Mirra Andreeva, who is also in the doubles, is pretty under the weather,” Gigi Salmon said on Sky Sports.
