Costco is rolling out a game-changing update for its Executive Members, offering exclusive perks that make the higher-tier membership even more appealing. The warehouse giant,

Executive members pay $130 a year for their wholesale club membership. Gold star members pay $65 a year. Last Autumn, the wholesaler installed membership scanning devices at the entrance of its warehouses. A new Costco is also in the works for Miami-Dade County.

Costco has announced the rollout of new benefits for executive members, set to go into effect at the end of the month. The retail warehouse giant told members on June 11 in an email, and confirmed to USA TODAY,

Shoppers in the higher-priced membership tier will be able to access the warehouse an hour earlier than Gold Star members from June 30, Costco said.

Shoppers with executive memberships will be able to earn earlier access to Costco locations, with stores opening at 9 a.m. each day exclusively for executive members. Currently, Costco locations open to all shoppers at 10 a.m.

Costco announced the return of early shopping hours for club members with an Executive tier membership. Bonus shopping hours for Executive members will be 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.
