Marvel Officially Ends Its Ultimate Universe in 2026
Despite strong sales and fan reaction, Marvel Comics will officially end its Ultimate Comics line in early 2026 with Ultimate Endgame.

No one believes Marvel Comics when they say that the Ultimate Universe is ending. But it is. Marvel officially confirmed the Ultimate Universe will end with Ultimate Endgame in April 2026 despite fan disbelief. Bleeding Cool first reported on the contractual timeline, tracing the agreement to Jonathan Hickman’s involvement.

President of DC Comics Says It Will Never Use AI
DC Comics president and publisher Jim Lee announced that the company will "not support AI-generated storytelling or artwork."
Marvel Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski states Marvel Comics does not use or support A.I. generated artwork. Marvel actively detects and severs ties with artists who are discovered using A.I. in their submissions. DC Comics also maintains a strict policy against A.I. generated storytelling and artwork for similar reasons.
