The UCLA Bruins shattered a 40-year-old NCAA record in an upset victory over the seventh-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions.

Michigan State football squared off with UCLA in a noon kickoff at Spartan Stadium, where the Spartans were looking to end a two game losing skid, but instead, the team was embarrassed on homecoming by UCLA, falling to 3-3.

The Hurricanes took down the Seminoles 28-22 in Tallahassee, completing an in-state sweep with wins over South Florida and Florida as well. Carson Beck threw for 241 yards and four touchdowns, while CJ Daniels hauled in five passes for 78 yards and two scores to lead Miami’s offense.

The Bruins give up an early touchdown on the road but then shut down the Spartans while scoring 28 unanswered points in the first half.

Jalen Berger scored three touchdowns and Nico Iamaleava threw for 180 yards and three touchdowns to lead UCLA to a 38-13 victory over Michigan State.

The Spartans (3-3, 0-3 Big Ten) lost 38-13 to the Bruins (2-4, 2-1) Saturday afternoon at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing for their homecoming game. Three passing touchdowns from UCLA quarterback Nico Iamaleava helped pace the Bruins.
