NJ Transit update as snow, ice disrupt Monday commute
While the snow has stopped, roadways and walkways remain icy and slippery, with occasional flurries and spotty freezing drizzle reported.
That monster storm was one for the history books, the biggest the New York City area has seen in years. Central Park recorded more than 10 inches of snow and sleet, while parts of the Hudson Valley had more than 18 inches.
After more than 9 inches of snow fell in Philadelphia on Sunday, the region will need some time to get back to normal. SEPTA, New Jersey Transit and Philadelphia International Airport will be open Monday, officials say, but customers may still face cancellations, delays and disruptions as they ramp up to normal operations.
NJ Transit said when it will resume the 126 and three other bus routes after the snowfall.
NEW JERSEY (PIX11) — A powerful snowstorm hit New Jersey hard on Sunday. NJ Transit trains were suspended as of 2 p.m. and speed limits across the state are restricted as the heaviest brunt of the storm moves through the tri-state.
