Weather SetupA cold front slipped through the Piedmont Triad on Wednesday, bringing nothing more than a few showers. Cooler and drier air has settled into the region behind the front and will below-normal temperatures forecast to remain over the Piedmont Triad into the weekend.
Tonight: High pressure continues to slide offshore as a coastal trough lingers across Eastern NC. Northeast winds will continue gusting 20–35 mph, strongest along the beaches. Showers begin to increase late tonight, spreading north by early Saturday as the developing low off Florida lifts closer to our coast.
