Italian energy company Eni will return to the FIA Formula 1 World Championship after a 25-year break as energy and fuel supplier of Renault's racing team Alpine, they said on Thursday.

Italian energy giant Eni has announced a multi-year strategic partnership agreement with the Alpine F1 Team and the Renault Group.

Eni has made a return to Formula 1 and is back on board at Enstone after signing a strategic partnership deal with both Alpine and Renault. The energy tech company was last in F1 with Benetton in 2000 but will now work with Alpine as the team’s official energy and fuel partner.
