The City of Tulsa announced all the ways the city is getting prepared for dangerously cold weather being forecasted for eastern Oklahoma.

TULSA, Okla. — Due to winter weather, Tulsa Zoo will be closed to the public from Friday, Jan. 23, through Monday, Jan. 26. The zoo said it will continue monitoring weather conditions and will share another update on Monday about reopening plans.

Tulsa Animal Services is warning pet owners that dangerous cold this weekend will be strictly enforced under city ordinance, requiring proper shelter and indoor protection for pets, with violations subject to fines or jail.
