POLICE are investigating the death of a prisoner at HMP Wakefield on Saturday morning. Prison staff called West Yorkshire Police around 9.39am to reports of an assault on a prisoner. Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

Watkins, serving 29 years for child sex crimes, was allegedly stabbed and two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
