The entire Philadelphia area is under a winter storm warning for heavy snow and sleet through 1 p.m. Monday afternoon.
On his own Twitter account, Cantore predicted 10 to 18 inches in NYC with regards to the pending storm. That range would double or triple the amount of snow that's already fallen in NYC to date this winter. According to National Weather Service data, 9.7 inches of snow was recorded to date this winter in New York's Central Park.
The National Weather Service is forecasting 18 to 24 inches of snow across much of Central Massachusetts on Sunday, Jan. 25, from a winter storm that arrives in the morning. Snow should start between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., the weather service says, with the heaviest snow falling from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. Monday, Jan. 26.
While the corridor for measurable snow is narrowing across parts of the Deep South and southeastern U.S. this weekend, rare snow is expected to fall across portions of the Southeast, with flakes falling in the Carolinas and dipping as far south as Florida.

The snow and ice brought by a winter storm that hit Friday caused some slick and hazardous road conditions throughout Oklahoma.
The forecasted freezing precipitation will inevitably have an impact on North Texas' weekend travel plans, says the NWS update, noting that worst travel conditions will most likely occur with the heaviest snow this evening into Sunday morning.
