The Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Braves completed their pre-game ceremonies but then entered a rain delay at Bristol Motor Speedway. The game will not start at its originally-scheduled first-pitch time of 7:15 p.m.

A new clock started the instant the Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Braves cleared the baseball diamond inside the infield at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The famed racetrack has been converted to host baseball for the showcase. Over 85,000 fans were expected on hand for the first-of-its-kind event. MLB's previous attendance record was 84,587 fans at a 1954 game in Cleveland featuring the New York Yankees.
