The UConn Huskies Men's College Basketball team has had a wildly disappointing year, but Paige Bueckers has led the Women's team to great success in the 2024-25

Following the victory, Bueckers was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player Honors, and she made history when she accepted the trophy as confetti dropped from the ceiling.

As expected, Bueckers added another Big East Player of the Year trophy to her collection. She has now won the award in back-to-back seasons and three times overall, which is tied for the most in league history. Bueckers averaged 18.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, five assists and 2.1 steals on 53.4% shooting from the field.
