A man accused of throwing a sandwich at a U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent in Washington, D.C., was an employee of the Justice Department, Attorney General Pam Bondi said Thursday.

D.C. resident Sean Dunn has been charged with felony assault after he approached a federal agent on Sunday, Aug. 10, and threw a Subway sandwich, CBS affiliate WUSA 9 reported. The incident came amid heightened law enforcement presence in the capital city at the request of President Donald Trump.

Sean Charles Dunn, who hurled a Subway sandwich at a federal agent in Washington, DC, earlier this week, has been fired from his DOJ role, according to US Attorney General Pam Bondi.
