The Atlanta Braves made one of their biggest moves of the offseason by bolstering the team’s bullpen. Former San Diego Padres pitcher Robert Suarez is one of the best closers in baseball and the 2-time All-Star is headed to Atlanta, per ESPN’s Jeff Passan.
The Braves added more versatility to their roster on Wednesday night, when they signed Mike Yastrzemski to a two-year, $23 million contract. Yastrzemski will earn $9 million in 2026 and $10 million in 2027.
Yastrzemski comes from a Hall of Fame bloodline, but he's made his own name as a righty-mashing corner outfielder.
