George Stephanopoulos asked JD Vance on ABC’s “This Week” about bribery accusations facing White House border czar Tom Homan.
The visit comes as the White House has noticed some Republican lawmakers appear to be reticent to redraw maps they approved - and praised - just a few years ago.
Nobody puts JD Vance in a corner. The vice president slammed ABC News host and longtime Trump critic George Stephanopoulos after the journalist abruptly cut to commercial during their heated exchange on Sunday morning.
After Vance responded that Homan “did not take a bribe” and characterized discussion of the subject as “a ridiculous smear,” Stephanopoulos said: “I’m not sure you answered the question. Are you saying that he did not accept the $50,000?”
The vice president called Tom Homan a "good man" who unnecessarily gets death threats for enforcing immigration laws.
Conservatives lashed out at Stephanopoulos for cutting off Vance and abruptly cueing in commercials after a tense back-and-forth over border czar Tom Homan, who was reportedly caught on tape by the FBI accepting $50,000 in cash during an undercover operation last year.
The Five' discusses Vice President JD Vance ridiculing ABC News host George Stephanopoulos for focusing on a 'bogus story.'
