Antonio Gibson suffered a knee injury in the second quarter of Sunday’s game in Buffalo. The Patriots running back was returning a kickoff and took a heavy hit from Bills cornerback Cam Lewis right on his legs. Gibson also lost the football as he absorbed the blow, but the fumble was recovered by TreVeyon Henderson.

Drake Maye led the Patriots on a 37-yard drive to set up Andy Borregales’ 52-yard field goal with 15 seconds left, and New England beat the Buffalo Bills 23-20, leaving the NFL without an undefeated team five weeks into the season.

He has 75 carries for 401 yards and five touchdowns on the season, with 12 receptions for 89 yards.

A t 11:30 a.m. ET on Sunday, it became official. Two full months after sustaining a hamstring injury, Christian Gonzalez was set to make his season debut against the Carolina Panthers. The New England Patriots’ standout cornerback was not listed among the inactive, paving the way for his first in-game snaps since last season.
