Amazon Prime Video, Oscar
We show you how to watch this year's Oscar-nominated films at home before seeing who wins the gold on March 2.
Prime Video adds a lot of new movies every month. In January 2025, the streaming service bolstered its movie library with more than 85 new additions. Naturally, with so many new flicks being added at a time, it’s pretty easy for some must-watch gems to get a little lost in the mix.
Starting in 2026, Prime Video will also be able to select premium titles from Lionsgate’s catalog, including the studio’s premium properties and iconic franchises such as “John Wick,” “Twilight,” “Divergent,” “Saw” and Emmy-winning television series like “Nurse Jackie” and “Weeds,” among others, to bring to its Prime members.
Amazon's Prime Video inked a deal with Lionsgate for an exclusive streaming window on the studio's films after an initial run on Starz.
Apple has not entirely given up on blockbuster releases to theaters. Its next big movie will be the Brad Pitt-star vehicle F1, a film scheduled for a June 2025 release that it hopes will be a summer blockbuster. The film is believed to be the most expensive film Apple has released so far, with a production budget of over $300 million.
In addition to Best Picture, “Anora” earned six Academy Award nominations, including Best Director (Sean Baker), Best Actress (Madison) and Best Original Screenplay. Additionally, Russian actor Yura Borisov, who gives perhaps the most surprising performance of the film, received a much-deserved Best Supporting Actor nod.
Several of this year's nominees are already available on streaming with others taking a victory lap back in theaters The post Where to Watch and Stream the 2025 Oscar Nominees appeared first on TheWrap.
The Apprentice (Apple TV, Amazon), and The Wild Robot (Peacock, Apple TV). For a thriller, catch Conclave (Peacock, Amazon), or enjoy A Real Pain (Hulu, Apple TV).
