INDIANAPOLIS (WLFI) - Governor Mike Braun delivered his State of the State Address Wednesday evening. Braun welcomed those in the Statehouse, reflecting on the years he spent as senator for Indiana. "It is good to be back in this chamber, remember I spent three years here. I sat right in that back section," Braun said.
"I understand this tax relief will have an impact on local governments, but taxpayers are struggling, and we have to put their needs first," Gov. Mike Braun said.
Braun will likely talk about health care costs and rising property taxes during his first State of the State speech.
The former U.S. senator, who was inaugurated Jan. 15, is expected to address the full Indiana General Assembly at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Gov. Braun is expected to outline his legislative priorities for 2025, including a proposal to overhaul the state’s property tax system.
