PHILADELPHIA − It's easy to forget that two years ago, Jalen Hurts was basically the phenomenon that Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels is now. No, Hurts wasn't a rookie in 2022 when he ran and threw the Eagles all the way to the Super Bowl.
The NFL website that ranks players in overall value and grades each game out had Hurts' NFC Title game performance as the top overall player of all four teams in the conference championship round. His 92.1 grade was higher than Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and many other stars from different positions.
Winning is the only stat that matters for Jalen Hurts. The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback has thrived in the situational football that has gotten his team to their second Super Bowl appearance in three years.
As of January 2025, Jalen Hurts is the starting quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL. The Eagles drafted Hurts with the 53rd overall pick in Round 2 of the 2020 NFL Draft.
