Candidate files lawsuit to force Gov. DeSantis to call special election in Palm Beach Co.
In Hillsborough County, the ACLU of Florida recently filed a similar lawsuit against the governor for failing to call a special election to fill the vacant State Senate District 14 seat, which opened when Sen. Jay Collins was appointed lieutenant governor. Residents there have been without representation for weeks.
