Teamsters employed by Republic Services have been on strike for a month. There does not appear to be an end in sight.

Nearly a month after union trash collectors walked off the job at Republic Services, lawmakers are urging the company to negotiate and communities affected by the strike were denied a requested court order.

Republic Services and the union on Friday reached a tentative agreement, ending the nearly two-week-long strike that impacted garbage pickup services across multiple Bay Area cities.
