Samsung's ultra-thin Galaxy S25 Edge figures to be one of the more interesting mobile devices the company has launched in years as it's a) actually new and b) not just an iterative yearly update of a pre-existing model.

That's called the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, and has been shown off already at the Samsung Galaxy S25 launch event. However, new information suggests there may be one fairly significant concession in the spec sheet.

It’s about the optics. The Galaxy S25+ is as boring an update as Samsung could have made – essentially just a bump from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 to the new 8 Elite – that barely moves the innovation needle.
