Nine people were wounded Sunday in a shooting that erupted at a party being held at a large Airbnb in northern Ohio, authorities said.

Bath Township turned to social media on Nov. 4 to remind residents that short-term rentals are prohibited in the community. This comes just two days after a shooting at large gathering at an Airbnb rental in the township left nine people hurt.

Officials will provide an update on Monday following a shooting at a Bath Township Airbnb that injured nine people.

At least nine people were injured, including juveniles, early Sunday when gunfire erupted at a large birthday party at an Airbnb rental house in a suburb of Akron, Ohio.

The chief said he doesn't know how the man kicked the woman out of the home, but that the code to enter the home was 'mysteriously' changed during the altercation.

To secure a licence providers would need to ensure their accommodation met certain safety standards, including having smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. The new rules would apply to those who let spaces on websites such as Airbnb, Booking.com and VRBO.
