Most exit polls have projected Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) return in Delhi after 27 years, while Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is predicted to not hit the majority mark of 36 in the 70-seat Delhi assembly.

While the majority of exit polls show BJP having an edge to grab the chair in Delhi, only two predict AAP maintaining its hold in the national capital.

"All exit poll results are showing BJP taking lead. We have been saying that BJP is going to form the government in Delhi. People have rejected Arvind Kejriwal's 11-year rule," BJP MP Yogender Chandolia tells PTI.

With a turnout of 57.78 per cent until 5 pm, all eyes are now on the exit polls in Delhi. Eight pollsters have unanimously given the edge in Delhi to the BJP, while the Aam Aadmi Party is lagging behind.

Out of 10 exit polls, only two – Mind Brink and WeePreside – ruled in favour of the AAP. About 57 percent of Delhi’s voters turned out to exercise their franchise today. While results are still three days away, muted celebrations seem to have started as exit polls predicted a clean sweep for the Bharatiya Janata Party.
