NEW YORK — New York City police officers shot an armed suspect in the stomach in Brooklyn on Friday night, police say. It happened around 9:45 p.m. on East 80th Street near Flatlands Avenue in Canarsie.

The NYPD provided updates on several crimes early Saturday morning.

The controversial shelter at 47 Hall St. in Brooklyn’s Clinton Hill neighborhood, which housed roughly 3,350 single male migrants at the peak of the crisis, is among the handful of taxpayer-funded sites expected to close in June, according to city officials.
