World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler says his “stupid” Christmas day injury won’t impact his first competitive tournament of the year at this week’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Scottie Scheffler added more details Tuesday to what happened during his Christmas-dinner-gone-awry, saying that he was lucky he didn’t suffer an even more serious hand injury when a wine glass shattered in his palm.

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (AP) — Scottie Scheffler felt frustrated sitting at home for two tournaments he normally plays while recovering from glass puncturing the the palm of his right hand while making ravioli. A big part of him was thankful the injury wasn’t worse.
