Forecasters are warning swimmers early Friday that U.S. East Coast beaches will remain dangerous for the coming days, as Hurricane Erin continues its northeasterly flight from the United States.

Forecasters warned the storm, now a post-tropical cyclone, could continue to cause dangerous conditions on East Coast beaches for a few days.

Again, Hurricane Erin will not make landfall in the United States, and with the center of Erin forecast to stay about 300 miles offshore, we will miss the outer rain bands of Erin here along the coast. The main threat to the area is solely at the coast.
