Authorities in Germany say a vehicle slammed into a group of pedestrians in the southwestern city of Stuttgart, injuring several people, some of them seriously.

BERLIN (Reuters) -At least eight people were injured, three of them seriously, after a car drove into a crowd in the centre of the southwestern German city of Stuttgart on Friday in what police said was a "tragic" traffic accident.

One person was killed and another two were seriously injured when a car drove into a group of people in the German city of Stuttgart. Police said there was no indication the incident was deliberate or an attack.
