Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes sustained a torn ACL in his left knee Sunday and will miss the rest of the NFL season. Mahomes was injured during the fourth quarter of Kansas City's 16-13 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

The Chiefs are still down the all-important positions of left and right tackle, and a new player is sidelined in receiver Hollywood Brown. The Chiefs hoped to be bolstered by the return of standout right guard Trey Smith, but he was ruled out by Reid late in the week.
