Netflix’s latest original show “The Abandons” is now streaming, a western drama that sees two rival families clash as they fight for land and power on the American frontier.
Lena Headey and Gillian Anderson's ambitious Yellowstone replacement from Netflix, The Abandons, has disappointed in its Rotten Tomatoes debut.
Lena Headey is a 52-year-old British actress who gained worldwide recognition as Cersei Lannister in Game of Thrones. She was born in Bermuda, as her father, a police officer from Yorkshire, was stationed in Hamilton at the time in the Bermuda Police Service.
It all culminates in an epic fight between Constance (Anderson) and Fiona (Headey) in the finale’s last scenes, and it ends on a major cliffhanger that leaves the fate of both women up in the air. Will there be a Season 2? Here’s what the stars say.
" The Abandons is never particularly bad," says The Hollywood Reporter 's Daniel Fienberg, "but it’s confusingly spare, rushed and vaguely shoddy, as if the final product was, in some way, gutted of its most potentially distinctive elements."
Netflix's new western stars Gillian Anderson and Lena Headey as a pair of adversarial matriarchs fighting over land.
